Morgen Abele

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Fernridge Faith Center in Veneta for Morgen Jean Abele of Eugene. She died June 10 of sudden infant death syndrome at the age of 11 days.

Morgen was born May 30, 2007, in Eugene.

Survivors include her parents, Casey and Joanna Abele; grandparents, John and Judith Abele of Veneta, Ruth Ann and Tom Staley of Bend and Joy Chambers of Brownsville; a great-grandfather, Harold Abele of Niskayuna, N.Y.; a brother, Sean Abele, and a sister, Jessica Abele, both of Eugene.

Arrangements by American Burial & Cremation of Oregon in Springfield.

Norma Beaty

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 18, at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene for Norma V. Beaty of Eugene. She died June 13 of age-related causes at age 91.

She was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Roseburg to Rudolf and Emma Walters Jennie. She married Joseph Beaty on July 22, 1935, in Roseburg.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Melvin of Eugene and Kenneth of Veneta; a sister, Louise Coats of Roseburg; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband died July 31, 1983.

Frank Chapman

COTTAGE GROVE - A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. today, June 15, at Magnolia Gardens Assisted Living in Cottage Grove for Frank S. Chapman of Cottage Grove, formerly of Creswell and Roseburg. He died June 12 of age-related causes at age 87.

He was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Downs, Kan., to Frank and Hattie Stollor Chapman. He married Betty Balderidge on Sept. 13, 1947, in Dallas, and they later divorced.

Chapman served in the Navy from 1941 to 1945. He attended schools in Kansas. He worked as a certified lumber grader and as a maintenance worker for several Oregon National Guard armories, including the Cottage Grove facility.

Survivors include a son, Dan of Cottage Grove; a sister, Kathleen Sypher of Springfield; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Perry Cramblit

CRESWELL - The service of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Eugene for Perry J. Cramblit of Creswell. He died June 12 of pancreatic cancer at age 70.

He was born Jan. 9, 1937, in Enterprise to Paul and Margaret Hulse Cramblit. He and his wife, Wendy, were married on Feb. 26, 1986, in Springfield.

Cramblit served in the Navy from 1950 to 1954. He held a bachelor's degree in social work. He was a social worker and worked in sales of mobile homes, insurance and computers.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Scott Cramblit of Springfield and Terry Supuhan, Andre Cramblit, Sean Cramblit and Sage Cramblit, all of California; a daughter, Bambi Lee of Springfield; a brother, Robert; and five grandchildren.

Arrangements by Alpha Cremation Services in Eugene.

David Elder

SPRINGFIELD - The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today, June 15, at St. Alice Catholic Church in Springfield for David Allen "Dave" Elder of Springfield. He died June 12 of lung cancer at age 41. A reception will be at the church following the service.

He was born March 8, 1966, in Eugene to Ronald and Rita Gent Elder.

Elder held a general equivalency diploma and attended schools for engineering and firefighting. He served in the Navy as an engineer. He worked as a household mover and metal fabricator.

Survivors include his parents; a step-grandmother, Barbara Gent of Eugene; two daughters, Skye Elder and Oceana Elder, both of Springfield; three brothers, Donald, John and Tom, all of Springfield; and two sisters, Cynthia Cruickshank and Tanya Gunarathne of Oak Creek, Wis.

Private burial will be in Mapleton Cemetery. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield.

Helen Kirkpatrick

ELMIRA - The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. today, June 15, at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene for Helen May Kirkpatrick of Elmira. She died June 13 of age-related causes at age 90.

She was born Dec. 27, 1916, in Eugene to Guy and Fay Alford Richmond. She married Raymond Kirkpatrick.

She worked for Goodwill.

Survivors include a son, Delbert of Elmira; a brother, Lyle Richmond of Springfield; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her husband died in 1980 and a son, Chester, died previously.

D. Christine McFry

D. Christine McFry of Eugene died June 12 of heart failure at age 83. No service is planned.

She was born Jan. 30, 1924, in Thomasville, Mo., to Cecil and Lura Floyd Holland. She married Norris Strong in 1947 in St. Louis, and he died in 1961. She married Milton McFry in 1967 in West Plains, Mo. He died in 2001.

She graduated from Thomasville School and Southwest Missouri State College. McFry had worked for Adult and Family Services and as a teacher and librarian.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana Kay Strong and Marilyn Ann Heiken, both of Eugene; a son, Dale Strong of Portland; a sister, Doris Malone of Thomasville; and four grandchildren.

Inurnment will be private. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to the Eugene Public Library.

Consuelo Streeter

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. June 23 at Salem Community Church of Christ for Consuelo "Connie" S. Streeter of Portland, formerly of Eugene, who died June 3 of cancer. She was 86.

She was born Sept. 19, 1920, in Ontario, Calif., to William and Pearl Cunningham Swain. She married Jasper "Jay" Streeter in California on June 20, 1943. He died Jan. 15, 1995. She graduated from Glendale High School and attended business school for a year. She worked as a secretary and telephone operator, and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Bill of Eugene and Don of Dallas, Ore.; a daughter, Elaine Mariman of Columbia City; a sister, Helen Laudie of Portland; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements by Neptune Cremation Service in Portland. Remembrances to Outreach International, P.O. Box 210, Independence, Mo. 64051.

Jerry Wilson

Jerry G. Wilson of Eugene died June 11 of Alzheimer's disease at age 63. A memorial service will be later.

He was born Jan. 18, 1944, in Knoxville, Tenn. He and his wife, Kathy, were married May 4, 1996, in Reno, Nev.

Wilson graduated from the University of Kentucky law school. He worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 26 years.

Survivors include his wife; his parents, O.J. and Rudy Wilson; two children, Brett of Oakland, Calif., and Ryan of Noblesville, Ind.; a brother, Dale of Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Faye Smith of Knoxville and Aslo Richardson of Bowling Green, Ky.; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements by Alpha Cremation Services in Eugene. Remembrances to Hospice of Sacred Heart.
