OBITUARIES : W. RONAL SMITH.

Visitation for W. Ronal Smith will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy Mortuary Chapel, 154 E. Ave. I, Lancaster. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Southern Baptist Church, 603 E. Lancaster Blvd., followed by interment at 3 p.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park.

Smith died Sunday at age 89. He was an Army veteran and had worked as a commercial artist for Floats Inc.

Survivors include his wife, May Smith; sons Kenneth N. Smith and W. Ronal Smith Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn May Hunt; a sister, Velma Caldwell; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Murphy Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

Fred Henry Bangert

Visitation for Fred Henry Bangert of Quartz Hill will be 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, 38141 Sixth St. E., Palmdale. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1600 East Ave. R-4, Palmdale, followed by interment at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 2200 E. Ave. S.

Bangert died Thursday at age 58.

He was born Nov. 16, 1939, and owned the Spa Shop for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Bangert; daughter Tricia L. Bangert; stepdaughter Tina M. Hayes; brothers Noel Marshall, John Bangert, Edward Bangert, Charles Bangert and Kenneth Bangert; sisters Peggy Votsberger and Maryanne Sutliff; and one grandchild.

Edward Bruce Belden

Services for Edward Bruce Belden will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, 38141 Sixth St. E., Palmdale. He died Saturday at age 66.

Belden was born April 3, 1932, and was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Belden; a son, Bruce A. Belden; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Valentino; a sister, Darlene Hayes; and four grandchildren.

Chapel of the Valley Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
