O2 UK names Feilim Mackle as sales and service director.

UK mobile operator O2 (Telefonica UK Limited) reported on Tuesday the appointment of Feilim Mackle as sales and service director, effective from July 2011.

In this position Mackle will serve on the Telefonica UK board and will report to Ronan Dunne, CEO.

Most recently Mackle was chief operating officer at Resolution Limited, prior to which he was executive director of life and pensions operations for AEGON UK and managing director for retail banking at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc.

The role of sales and service director of Telefonica UK was created in December when O2 reorganised its customer service and sales areas with the aim of delivering a seamless and consistent experience across all channels, including online, retail and telephone. The company's former customer service director, Cheryl Black, is leaving O2 at the end of May.
