O'Connor: I had to quit Bray.

Byline: PAUL DOWLING

KEVIN O'CONNOR admits it was a wrench leaving crisis club Bray as he joined up at Longford.

But amidst the in-fighting that saw Pat Devlin ousted, he feels he had no choice.

O'Connor said: "The way things happened at Bray, they weren't done right at the club in the off-season.

"In one way that meant it wasn't difficult to leave - it's my home-town club and I've an affinity like so many players there last year.

"But the way things were done, I wasn't happy with it. We wanted to be kept up to date with what was happening.

"But my objective is to get Longford promoted."
