O'BRIEN ENVIRONMENTAL ENERGY ANNOUNCES THREE NEW BIOGAS PROJECTS
 IN SCOTLAND
PHILADELPHIA, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading energy project developer O'Brien Environmental Energy (AMEX: OBS) announced today that it has reached a contractual agreement to develop three landfill gas fuelled energy projects near Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, Scotland.
The gas rights contracts are with Caledonian Properties, Ltd. and the Glasgow County Council for the 77-acre Summerston Landfill, the 43-acre Mavis Valley Landfill, and the 73-acre Wilderness Landfill.
"Total gas production from the sites is expected to be about 500,000 cubic feet per year," Bruce Levy, O'Brien's vice president, said. "This amount of gas will produce approximately five megawatts of electricity. The company expects to begin construction after power purchase agreements are in place, which should be in mid to late 1992," he said.
