Nursing groups launch campaign to recruit a new generation of nurses.
Transit shelter and billboard advertising feature real-life photographs of nurses and patients in a variety of settings.
The campaign stems from recommendations put forward by the Joint Provincial Nursing Committee, comprised of nursing groups and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
The current shortage of nurses was the impact of health care spending cuts in the 1990's that caused 15,000 nurses to leave the profession.
