Number of Tunisian staff hired abroad up 17.5% (ATCT).

(TAP) - The Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT) reported in a statement a 17.5% increase in the number of Tunisian staff hired abroad until July 31, 2019 compared to the number of hires until July 31, 2018.

The number of hired staff amounts to 1,502, against 1,278 recruited during the same period last year.

According to the statement, education and higher education are on the top in the number of hires, with 618 teachers recruited or 41% of the recruitment made, following by the health field with 325 health executives, engineering with 188 recruited and administration with 170 hired.

With regard to the destinations of hires, Saudi Arabia ranks first with 384 recruited executives, followed by Qatar with 278 staffers and Kuwait with 118 executives.

Therefore, the Gulf countries are the first beneficiaries of Tunisian expertise with 868 hires, i.e. 58%, followed by European countries with 318 recruited, led by France with 183 then Germany with 92 recruited, followed by African countries with 113 and finally America and Asia with 155 hired, including Canada with 141 recruited.

The total number of Tunisian executives and experts working abroad amounts to 19,237 until July 31, 2019.
