INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2013 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

Nuage Networks said it is collaborating with Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT) to support the continued tremendous growth of cloud services.

Nuage Networks will work with Red Hat to certify its OpenStack Quantum plug-in for Red Hat's planned enterprise cloud management solution, Red Hat OpenStack. By working together, the two companies are taking a significant step forward in building advanced SDN capabilities to underpin the cloud networks of service providers and enterprises around the world.

OpenStack is a popular open source cloud management platform used globally by service providers and enterprises to build public, private and hybrid clouds. The cloud operating system controls large pools of compute, storage, and networking resources throughout a datacenter, all managed through a dashboard that gives administrators control while empowering their users to provision resources through a web interface.

Nuage Networks brings a combination of groundbreaking technologies and networking expertise to the enterprise and telecommunications industries. It is backed by Alcatel-Lucent's (NYSE: ALU) fast growing IP division.
