Now us miseries really can have the last laugh.

THIS is great for Grumpas! Grump on, and on, and on... to live longer.
Happiness is a good thing, but you can have too much of a good thing.
Over-rated, I say, and a million women can't be wrong.
It wears you out, for a start. Fancy trying to be happy all the time. Doesn't bear thinking about. And smiling? Going round with a rictus grin on your face every day is a short cut to the grave. I'm 72 tomorrow, and I haven't got this old by imitating the Laughing Policeman.
A judicious helping of fun, and the odd belly laugh, is enough for anybody who wants a long life.
That's how you have the last laugh, which is better than all the rest put together.
HA-HA Laughing Policeman, left, and me
