Now's the time to plan for RTV.

Dear Editor, Richard McComb's nomination for Beverley Knight to be included on the Walk of Stars is well received. Without giving too much away, if Richard has a direct line to Bev would he get in contact.

Turning to John Pugh's letter on Broad Street and the proposal to run a super bus. John, you have it so wrong.

Broad Street employs around 15,000 "suits", mainly professional posts for professional people. The ICC can bolster that number daily by many more thousands of visitors.

Add that to the proposed developments at Five Ways and indeed the length of the street. This gives you the perfect formula for an upmarket rapid transport vehicle (RTV).

The time to start planning for the RTV is now; it could take two, maybe three, years before the first passenger boards. In that period we will see massive economic recovery and the developers on Broad Street moving forward with their multi-million pound developments.
