? A FUNDRAISING drive has been launched at Speke-based St Ambrose Catholic Primary School to fund a four-dimensional 'WOW! room.

Parents are doing everything from fancy dress events to raffles to raise an initial pounds 9,000 deposit for the room which uses LED lighting, surround sound and giant scale wall projection to transport children into different worlds depending on their particular area of study. The school has secured match funding for the room which will cost pounds 48,000 all together. Anyone wishing to help the appeal should contact Clare Mail or Liz Daley at the school on 0151 425 2306.

? HOYLAKE Holy Trinity CE Primary School will welcome the world's fastest blind man on Friday.

Steve Cunningham, who lost his sight as a child and has broken the world blind land speed record, will launch a new club and give an inspirational talk.
