Secure-It, Inc., of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, has developed a
new security product for notebook computers. Snap-It is designed to
secure the notebook to a fixed object such as a desk or workstation to
prevent it from being stolen. The user loops the cable and snaps in the
lock; a key unlocks the device but is not needed to lock it. Multiple
units can be keyed alike, keyed differently, or master keyed. A lifetime
warranty is provided, along with a high-security cable, lock, and travel
bag.
