Not poverty stricken.

Middlesbrough is often identified as having more poverty than any other town in the country.

There is some truth in this but I must point out that Middlesbrough has some very posh and expensive areas too.

All things considered, do we really deserve our poverty-stricken image?

And don't some of our poor bring poverty on themselves?

Jobs won't come to you, you do have to go out and find them.

Do some of the poor wallow in their poverty?
