Norwegian court rules in favour of Ocean Rig ASA.

NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-28 February 2006-Norwegian court rules in favour of Ocean Rig ASA(C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Norwegian drilling rigs operator Ocean Rig ASA said on Tuesday (28 February) that a Norwegian court had passed a judgement in favour of Ocean Rig in the court case against the law firm Wikborg, Rein & Co, Oslo.

Under the ruling the law firm would pay to Ocean Rig some NOK101.58m plus 5% interest from 28 March 2002 to 6 July 2003 and default interest rate thereafter until payment.

In addition the law firm was ordered to pay Ocean Rig's legal costs of NOK1.16m.

One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.08 British pounds (GBP).
