Norwegian construction group Veidekke ASA (OSE:VEI) said on Wednesday (10 December) that its subsidiary Block Berge Bygg AS has secured a NOK240m construction contract in Stavanger, Norway.

The contract, awarded by Brage Stavanger AS, covers a 20,000-square metre office building.

The building will house regional administrative functions and is scheduled for completion in 2010.

Veidekke, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, is a leading Scandinavian contractor and property developer. The group has 6,500 employees and reported an annual turnover of NOK19.3bn in 2007.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 10.44 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
