Norway : EMGS inks US$ 4 million data licensing deal with OMV NORGE AS.

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has announced that it has inked US$ 4 million data licensing deal with OMV Norge AS.

The contract is for the provision of 3D EM data from EMGS's multi-client data library in the Hoop area in the Barents Sea.

The deal also includes an uplift model as per which EMGS will get an undisclosed sum if the customer is awarded blocks in future licensing rounds in Norway.

Roar Bekker, CEO of EMGS, said, Following the Wisting discovery in September we have experienced an increased interest in our data from the Barents Sea.

Now, data library of EMGS in the Barents Sea covers nearly 30,000 km2, which includes approximately 110 blocks of which 57 are open blocks.
