Northwest Airlines upgrades its website.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Northwest Airlines announced on 18 January that members of its WorldPerks frequent flyer programme can now purchase a ticket and then redeem miles for first class upgrades in a single online transaction at its http://nwa.com web site.

Other enhancements to the web site include an option allowing customers to search surrounding airports to help find the lowest fare, new features that allow group and meeting travel to be booked online, and the ability to book vacation packages, the carrier announced.
