North Today: Two saved from sea.

A FATHER and son were rescued after their sailing yacht capsized during high winds.

Rescue services were alerted when the men, aged 47 and 22, were spotted in the water alongside the vessel off the coast of South Shields, South Tyneside, on Saturday morning.

Tynemouth's Inshore Lifeboat crew plucked the men out of the water, then towed the yacht to South Shields Sailing Club around midday.
