North Bend, Cottage Grove in final.

COTTAGE GROVE - North Bend had four players in double figures as the Bulldogs rolled over Siuslaw 57-40 in the first round of the Cottage Grove Holiday Tournament in girls basketball Friday night.

Kari Adkins led North Bend with 17 points, followed by Janee Olds with 14, Heidi Davison with 13 and Jacque Seaman with 12.

The Bulldogs will meet Cottage Grove in tonight's championship contest.

Kammy Martindale paced the Vikings with 19 points.

Cottage Grove Tournament

COTTAGE GROVE - Whitney Harris had a game-high 15 points to lead Cottage Grove to a 47-32 victory over Taft in the first round.

The Lions advance to meet North Bend in today's championship game.

Rose Hollingsworth paced the Tigers with 14 points.

In the junior varsity tournament, April Kelso scored a game-high 24 points to lead McKenzie to a 42-31 victory over North Bend's JVs in the first round.

Coquille Tournament

COQUILLE - Erika Nay scored 14 points to lead Myrtle Point to a hard-fought 41-38 victory over Sutherlin in the first round. Tiffany George led the Bulldogs with 14 points.

In the tourney's other game, Cassie Dorland had 15 points and Jessica Woodruff added 11 to lead Coquille to a 44-34 win over Bandon.

Kelsey Stolz scored 22 points to lead Bandon.

Yoncalla Tournament

YONCALLA - Shauna Bryant scored 11 points and Charlie Van Loon added 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead Yoncalla to a 39-24 win over Monroe.

Heather Finney also scored 10 points for the Eagles. Anna Opoien led Monroe with eight points. Yoncalla will meet Oakridge today at 6 p.m.

Gilchrist Tournament

GILCHRIST - Kristina Neet scored 28 points in three quarters, and Lindsey Maher collected 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead Lowell to a 79-27 win over Culver.

Jeni Webb added 11 points for Lowell, which scored 48 points in the first half and will play in the championship game at 3:45 p.m. today.

Kutelyn Alley's 10 points paced Culver.

Illinois Valley Tournament

CAVE JUNCTION - Amy Croll scored 18 points and teammates Crystal Wall and Alissa Jackson added 12 each to lead Glide past Gold Beach 58-51 in the first round.

Tess Treinen led Gold Beach with 20 points, and Krista Meeks added 17.

Mountain West League

Triangle Lake 57, Falls City 31

FALLS CITY - Samantha Elkins scored 17 points to lead the Lakers, who cruised to a 37-13 halftime lead.

Ashley Hites and Krista Larsen added 14 points and 11 points, respectively, for Triangle Lake. Bobbie Rodewald led Falls City with 13 points.

Mapleton 57,

Fairview Christian 35

ALBANY - Shauna Allen scored 19 points and Bekah Evanson contributed 12 to lead the Sailors to the win.

Mapleton, leading by nine at halftime, tucked the win away with a 16-4 third-quarter advantage.

Annie Stutzman had 19 points to lead Fairview Christian.

Nonleague

Pleasant Hill 47, Newport 27

NEWPORT - Danica Bates scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Billies over the Cubs.

Pleasant Hill jumped out to a 27-9 halftime advantage. Tara Angelone led Newport with nine points.

Philomath 42, Douglas 35

WINSTON - Jennica Crocker scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Warriors over the Trojans.

Jessica King and Kelsey New each scored eight points for Douglas.

Oakland 23, Harrisburg 14

HARRISBURG - Karra Wolford's 11 points led the Oakers past the Eagles.

Morgan Kinley paced Harrisburg with eight points.

Hidden Valley 59, Creswell 45

CRESWELL - The Mustangs made three consecutive three-pointers in the third quarter, including two by leading scorer Shea Ford, to break open a close game in a win over the Bulldogs.

Ford finished with 21 points for Hidden Valley.

Julie Clark and Jenny Ellis scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for Creswell.
