North American Airlines Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of World Air Holdings Inc (OTC: WLDA.PK), has inaugurated a weekly scheduled service linking Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Banjul, The Gambia and Accra, Ghana.

The carrier said that the new flights operate direct service between Baltimore and Banjul, with continuing service to Accra.

North American is reportedly the only US airline serving Africa with scheduled service, also operating directly between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Accra. North American added a second weekly round-trip flight between JFK and Accra on Saturday (3 June).
