NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-4 July 2004-Norsk Hydro ASA awards contracts for Tune field(C)1994-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The Norwegian offshore contractor DSND said on Monday (5 July) that Subsea 7, the joint venture of DSND Subsea and Halliburton Subsea, had received a contract for the Tune A Phase Two development in the North Sea.

The contract was awarded by Norsk Hydro ASA.

"Subsea 7 was awarded the Oseberg Vestflanken Project in April this year and the addition of Tune will increase the previously awarded contract value of USD40m by an additional USD18m," DSND said.

The new contract covers procurement and installation of a 3.2-kilometre flowline and a service umbilical, tie ins and trenching.

According to Reuters Norsk Hydro also awarded Aker Oilfield Products, the subsea unit of Aker Kvaerner ASA, a NOK66m contract for a subsea production unit for the Tune field.

One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.547 British pounds (GBP).One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.08 British pounds (GBP).
