NON WOVENS SYSTEMS GROUP
From infant to adult incontinence diapers and feminine care to tissues and towels, Nordson hot melt adhesive equipment helps accelerate production speeds, reduce material costs and advance product quality. Universal[TM] platform configurations produce a wide variety of patterns and widths for construction, stabilization, lamination, elastic attachment and wide-web ply bonding.
A choice of patterns and delivery methods provide exacting coverage and bond strength. Dispensing technologies are available for spiral spray, mini-spiral spray, meltblown, bead, and contact and non-contact slot coating.
The Summit[TM] II lamination process provides exceptional control of hot melt adhesive fiber deposition with low add-on rates. Controlled adhesive fiber deposition in a cross-web direction improves lamination bond performance.
The SureWrap[TM] elastic-attachment process increases creep resistance by wrapping a dedicated adhesive fiber around each elastic strand. The applicator guides each elastic strand under a spray nozzle, optimizing placement precision and reducing adhesive consumption.
Enhancing high-speed production, the Speed-Coat[TM] contact slot applicator and the non-contact E-400 electric applicator produce consistent quality and the fastest response times in the industry.
The value-added ESP[TM] Equipment Services Program for used Nordson hot melt adhesive equipment extends the life and performance of manufacturing operations. ESP provides customers with fast turnaround for cleaning, rebuilding or reconditioning Nordson equipment using original Nordson factory-quality parts that meet rigorous performance standards.
FIBER SYSTEMS GROUP
Nordson systems improve productivity and quality in noawovens fabric production using mono and bi-component meltblown, spunbond and SMS composite processes. Rolled goods manufactured with Nordson Fiber systems enhance the performance characteristics of numerous products, ranging from hygiene, air and liquid filters to wipes, geotextiles and automobile applications.
Nordson mono and bi-component spunbond systems provide the fastest spin speeds in the industry, producing nonwovens fabrics in the sub-denier to plus-denier range at greater throughputs. The result is superior rolled-goods quality with excellent absorption, filtration, strength and hand.
Mono- and bi-component meltblown systems provide a complete range of meltblown webs from sub-micron to 15-plus microns in fiber size. Superior formation and higher throughputs, along with precision air control and fiber quenching, improve productivity and product quality.
SMS composite systems help extend web characteristics over typical meltspun fabrics. Abroad selection of polymers can be used to produce mono- and bi-component meltblown, high-loft meltblown, spunbond, finedenier spunbond and their combinations.
In-house nonwovens laboratories and fiber pilot lines allow manufacturers to accurately qualify substrate properties and costs in an actual production environment. The Center of Excellence facility features three laboratories for adhesive trials and two fiber production lines, including a 1.2-meter-wide bi-component SMXS multi-beam line capable of running bico-spunbond/bico-meltblown/bico-spunbond composites at speeds up to 800 meters per minute.
