Tyre manufacturer Nokian Tyres Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) reported on Monday the receipt of an announcement from BlackRock Inc, on 10 May 2019, according to which BlackRock Inc's indirect holding in Nokian Tyres shares exceeded the level of 5% of the share capital in Nokian Tyres plc.

The indirect shareholding of BlackRock Inc in Nokian Tyres has increased to 7,082,713 shares, corresponding to 5.12% of Nokian Tyres' shares and voting rights.

Reportedly, this change was a result of share transactions concluded on 9 May 2019.

As of deal date, BlackRock Inc and its funds held a total of 7,226,608 Nokian Tyres' shares, representing 5.23% of company's 138,066,899 shares and voting rights.

Nokian Tyres develops high-quality, safe and eco-friendly tires for passenger cars, trucks and heavy machinery. It is especially well known for its innovative winter tires. The group also includes the Vianor chain, specialising in vehicle maintenance and tire services.
