Finnish tyre manufacturer Nokian Renkaat Oy said today (13 June) that it had acquired a retreading plant Euroban-dag in Russia from the Finnish company Vuoksen Kumi Oy.
The purpose of the acquisition was to strengthen the company's position in Russia, according to Nokian Renkaat.
The acquisition price was not disclosed.
The company also said that it would reorganise its retreading business in Nordic countries by establishing a new profit centre to manage the group's retreading operations.
The entire personnel of the company's subsidiary Vianor's retreading plants in Finland, Sweden and Norway would transfer to the new profit centre, Nokian Renkaat added.
