Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia said on Friday (28 May) that it had signed an agreement with the Chinese mobile operator Guangdong Mobile Communications Corporation Ltd (MCC) to trial push to talk service in China.

Under the agreement, Guangdong MCC would undertake market trials, where its lead customers would trial push to talk with Nokia terminals over Nokia Push to talk over Cellular infrastructure.

Guangdong MCC intends to launch push to talk commercially in the second half of 2004, according to Nokia.
