Nokia to expand R&D centre in China.

NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-18 April 2006-Nokia to expand R&D centre in China(C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia said on Tuesday (18 April) that it would further strengthen its R&D operations in China and expand its Chengdu R&D Centre.

The R&D centre would be expanded to carry part of Nokia's mobile network infrastructure products development for global and local markets.

Nokia said that the expansion of the Chengdu R&D Centre would capitalise on the favourable competence base in China, and develop a better alignment with the Chinese mobile communications market, a key global growth driver.
