Nokia signs 5-year managed services agreement with Hutchison Essar.

Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia said on Wednesday (25 January) that it had reached a five-year managed services agreement to run Hutchison Essar's network operations in nine circles in India.

The agreement calls for Nokia to provide an array of solutions from its services portfolio, including network planning, project management, configuration and optimisation, network operations and maintenance and the administration of third party vendor contract management.

Nokia would also welcome over 600 Hutchison Essar staff into its Services business unit, the company said.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.
