The 925 introduces a metal design and incorporates Nokia's updated

PureView camera, new features and new third-party apps.

Much as it did with the 920, Nokia has focused the industry's

attention on the 925's imaging suite, which has been a major selling point,

given its performance in a range of lighting conditions and the inclusion of

app features for post-capture processing.

"The Nokia Lumia 925 includes the most advanced lens

technology and next-generation imaging software to capture clearer, sharper

pictures and video, including the best low-light images," Nokia said in an

emailed statement.

The Nokia Lumia 925 also introduces Nokia's new Smart Camera

mode, which will be available as an update to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones.

Smart Camera allows the capture of ten images with a single click and the editing

of the pictures with options like Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus.

Nokia also announced that Hipstamatic's new app, Oggl, will

also be available on Nokia Lumia smartphones, allowing users to take and share pictures

with fellow photography enthusiasts from around the world. In addition to

sharing photos on Oggl, users can simultaneously share photos on social

networks including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram, Tumblr and Flickr.

"We keep innovating," said Jo Harlow, executive vice

president of Nokia Smart Devices. "We're advancing experiences on the Nokia

Lumia portfolio whether that means great new benefits for an existing Lumia

owner, or bringing new showcase devices like the Nokia Lumia 925."

The Nokia Lumia 925 has a polycarbonate casing that comes in

white, grey or black. A wireless charging cover can be clipped onto the back of

the phone. Covers, sold separately, come in white, black, yellow, and red.

Nokia services, such as the HERE suite of integrated

location and navigation services and Nokia Music for unlimited streaming of

free music playlists, are also available on the 925.

The Nokia Lumia 925 will be priced around EUR469 (AED2,230)

in Europe.
