The Finnish telecommunications solutions group Nokia's infrastructure business Nokia Networks is to concentrate the activities of its Broadband Systems division into two business units, Broadband Access and Narrowband Access.

The Broadband Systems division will also streamline its R&D network and introduce a new mode of operations which is expected to decrease the number of personnel in non-core functions.

The changes are expected to affect 300-400 employees who will be assisted in seeking new jobs within or outside Nokia.
