Nokia 9 Renders Reveal Full Design.
A Nokia Android smartphone was leaked in September, and it captured a lot of attention for sporting five cameras on its back. Now, new renders for the upcoming device has surfaced online and it gives everyone a clear look at the device that's expected to be called the Nokia 9.
The images of the Nokia 9 were revealed by (https://twitter.com/OnLeaks/status/1059689789178421248) @OnLeaks in partnership with (https://www.91mobiles.com/hub/nokia-9-exclusive-renders-360-degree-video/) 91Mobiles. The images were also accompanied by a 360-degree video showing the device from every side. The leakers said that the device will indeed be called the Nokia 9 and it may also carry the PureView brand, which seems to make sense since the phone will carry five cameras on its back.
The rear cameras are arranged in a very unique way and it definitely looks like something that no one has ever seen on a smartphone before. No information about the exact specifications of the cameras was given, but the lenses will carry the Zeiss branding.
(https://www.ibtimes.com/new-nokia-android-smartphone-revealed-have-five-back-cameras-2714786) It was previously speculated that the Nokia 9 will have a telephoto zoom lens and a standard wide angle lens. It's also likely that at least one of the cameras will be for depth-sensing capabilities or for improved autofocus. It's also possible for the module to come with a super wide-angle lens or a monochrome sensor.
The Nokia 9 is believed to have a 5.9-inch quad HD display with a trendy tall aspect ratio and there's no notch in sight, as pointed out by (https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/11/06/nokia-9-pureview-five-rear-cameras-real/) Android Police. It's also rumored that the handset might arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor like the OnePlus 6T.
The renders show that the device won't have a front- or rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, so it makes sense that the handset is hiding it underneath the display. It's also very unlikely that Nokia will go all-in on facial recognition, since this handset appears to only have a single-front facing camera and a couple of sensors.
The Nokia 9 is expected to be a flagship Android smartphone, so it could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with at least 6GB of RAM. An 8GB RAM model may not be out of the question, as well. The phone is also equipped with a single USB Type-C port, but it doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the software side of things, the Nokia 9 will most likely run stock Android 9 Pie straight out of the box.
As for the release date of the Nokia 9, it's being speculated that it might be released sometime in early 2019. Information on pricing hasn't been revealed yet, but it's expected to be one of the most expensive Nokia Android phones thus far.
