No waste solution highlights Rapak's Danish connection.

Rapak's innovative Bag-in-Box solution for Danish sauce manufacturer Bahncke, ensuring optimum drainage for its products, has highlighted the value of its newly agreed agency agreement in Denmark with APS Soldana.

Bahncke asked Rapak to develop bags for an apple-flavoured ketchup that would give the company and its customers the maximum yield with the minimum amount of wastage. Rapak's solution uses two features--a double delta-seal to channel product into the gland opening, and hanging bag technology to ensure a downward gravity feed.

The 5L and 10L bags were made using metallised polyester outer layers with polyethylene inner films. The combination of films provides excellent barrier protection to ensure a long ambient shelf life.

The project demonstrates the value of the partnership forged between Rapak and APS Soldana over the past year. The product launch marks an exciting time for Rapak in Denmark. With APS Soldana's knowledge and support, customers such as Bahncke are able to capitalise on Rapak's globally recognised Bag-in-Box expertise, with the added benefit of local backup.

The Bahncke application reflects the increasing trend towards self serving, clean and hygienic dispensers for sauces, ketchups and mayonnaise.
