No talk of Oz; SOCCER In Brief.

SIR ALEX FERGUSON insists he does not need to add to his Manchester United squad, but has refused to confirm or deny his interest in signing Mesut Ozil.

Man United boss Ferguson watched his side beat Chelsea 3-1 in yesterday's Community Shield and immediately declared he had the resources to wrest the Premier League from them as well.

"It happens when you don't win the title - everyone's the same: 'We must do it the next year'," Ferguson said.

"We're going into this season at the moment - touch wood - not with any real major injuries with the present squad. If we can keep that present squad together, it'll put us in a really good position."
