PREVENT COSTLY EQUIPMENT DAMAGE, data corruption and downtime caused by electrical transients. The Joslyn SurgeBan is a suppression system with fail-safe modules. An individual thermal cutoff on each metal oxide varistor protects against temporary overvoltage conditions and ensures clean end-of-life performance. During a sustained overvoltage event, SurgeBan goes off-line to deliver fail-safe performance. SurgeBan is life cycle tested with 2,500 surges at 20 kV and 10 kA, and single-pulse surge current tested with less than 10% deviation in let-through voltage. Other features include a compact NEMA 4X enclosure with a small footprint, explosion-resistant modules, module status monitor and self-positioning, intermodule monitoring connections.--Current Technology
