No stopping Potter post; NIGHTMARE OF THE FLOODS.

HERO postie Richard Yates waded through the floodwater to deliver copies of the new Harry Potter book to eager fans.

The 55-year-old was unable to do his normal round, but managed to load up his 4X4 car with pre-ordered copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

He said: "I thought people would be glad of something to read while stuck indoors because of the floods.

"The roads were very treacherous and I had to drive through a lot of water but when I started dropping the books off, I was amazed. They were absolutely overjoyed.

"The water was nearly up to my waist but the thanks made it all worthwhile."

In all Richard delivered 20 books in his home village of Harvington, near Evesham - including one for daughter, Kelly, 16.
