No Pink Slips At Friday

You may have heard the same rumor we did three weeks ago that up to seven lawyers were about to be laid off at the Friday Eldredge & Clark law firm. Possibly in the bond department.

"That is not so. Absolutely not so," says Herschel Friday. And, once again for emphasis, "I can tell you there is absolutely nothing to it."

The Friday firm has 67 attorneys and more than 100 support personnel and has no intentions of shrinking, he says. They added four attorneys this year and plan to add more in 1991.

Friday says the firm has been consolidating office space recently and until the rugs could be laid down eight offices had been vacant. Maybe that's how the rumor got started, Friday surmised.
