No out of court settlement of mosque-temple dispute, says Owaisi.

Summary: Owaisi said that there were ten members in the Sunni Waqf Board and Mahant should clarify who met him

Hyderabad: Member of Parliament from Hyderabad and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi has ruled out the possibility of any out of court settlement of Babri Masjid-Ram Mandir dispute and charged Art of Living guru Sri Sri Ravishankar with misleading the people by making false claims.

Addressing media at the MIM headquarters in Hyderabad Owaisi also rejected the claim of Mahant Dinender Das of Nirmohi Akhara that talks were on with Muslim Personal Law Board and termed it a blatant lie.

He was responding to the questions of media persons about the claim of a sting operation in which the Mahant was shown as claiming that the talks were on with the Muslim Personal Board members and Rs10 million-Rs200 million will be paid to the Board to build Ram temple in place of Babri Masjid.

"First the Mahant should clarify the source of money; he should explain whether he has a gold mine or well of oil", he asked sarcastically. Pointing out that the Board Secretary Moulana Mohammed Wali Rahmani had already denied meeting or talking to any body, Owaisi demanded from Mahant to know who had met him.

Owaisi said that there were ten members in the Sunni Waqf Board and Mahant should clarify who met him. "it is an issue of a mosque not a private property. No Muslim can stoop to a level where he will accept money for the land of the mosque", he said urging the Mahant as well as Shankar to stop lying and misleading the nation.

Shankar has launched a new initiative to resolve the dispute and met many Hindu religious leaders in Uttar Pradesh, including the state Chief Minister Adityanath.

Describing Ravi Shankar and the Mahant as jokers, he said, "it is not a circus. It is a serious issue and matter is sub judice. Everybody is trying to become famous by saying something and wants to win Noble or Magsaysay, or Bharat Ratan award", he said.

He reiterated that the Muslims Personal Law Board and Sunni Waqf Board have made it clear that they will not meet Ravi Shankar or any body else.

Condemning Mahant's statement, he said, "mosque cannot be sold or bought. No true Muslim can even think of it", he said.
