No mention of 1956 uprising; LETTERS.

I WILL be attending a Coventry Peace Festival event next week as a German friend of mine from Dresden is giving a talk.

When I looked through the programme for the whole festival I was quite surprised not to see any mention of your Hungarian twin towns Kecskemet and Dunaujvaros especially as the festival is being held exactly 60 years to the month of the bloody suppression of the Hungarian uprising of 1956 by Soviet forces.

I have a particular interest as I know well the city of Kecskemet as I have organised over the past seven years various youth groups from Gloucestershire to take part in a fantastic Youth Performance Festival called Csipero, that happens in the city.

Apparently only one Coventry group has ever taken part in the 22 years since the Csipero festival started.

If I have missed that there is something with an Hungarian connection in the festival, I would be interested to find out.
