No life threats received: Maulana Amir Siddique.

Islamabad, November 01, 2011 (Frontier Star): Maulana Amir Siddique, the second in command (Naib Khateeb) at the red mosque (Lal Masjid) in Islamabad, has rejected the news about his expulsion from his post as penalty for visiting Iran. Talking to Online here on Monday Maulana Amir Siddique said that certain news about his expulsion from this post of Naib Khateeb are baseless and he visited Iran along with nine other members on the invitation of Iranian Shai council. He said that he visited Iran under the supervision of Maulana Sherani and JUI-I (F) and strongly rejected the news that during next few days he is being expelled from his post Maulana Amir Siddique said that he has no difference with Maulana Aziz and news reports about this issue are devoid of the facts and are just for their own interests. When asked Maulana Amir Siddique said that authorities contacted him regarding this issue and he also told them that if there will be anything serious to his life then he would definitely tell the authorities about it. It is to pertinent here that Maulana Siddique assumed the responsibility of Naib Khateeb on May 17, 2009, replacing Ghazi Abdul Rashid after his death and was also one of the main activists who played a pivotal role in Aziz's release. After his visit of Iran it was said that his visit hurt the sentiments of Deobandi sect and has serious difference with Maulana Aziz regarding his visit to Iran.
