No increase in foreign investments without solution to political and economic problems.

According to economists, the partisan judiciary and administration and the unstable institutions are the crucial drawbacks to foreign investments. They believe that without a solution to the key political and economic problems, a considerable increase in foreign investments cannot be expected. It is for this reason that they find Macedonia's ranking in the latest report of the United Nations about the total influx of foreign investments expected. However, the government is not giving up its effort to draw foreign investors via road shows, economic promoters, and offering benefits to foreign investors.

Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski has recently announced the entry of five foreign companies from Turkey and the USA. In the meantime, with a new concept of Brownfield investments, the Government is setting the ground for new investments.

According to the statistics of the National Bank, in the first five months of this year, 105 million euros in FDI entered Macedonia, which is almost identical to the sum of the whole 2012. This, according to the Government, is a sign that this year will be more successful than last year.
