No charge for Kiss star over attack claim; world newsbulletin.

KISS rocker Gene Simmons will not be charged over an alleged attack on a couple at an upmarket outdoor shopping centre in Los Angeles, prosecutors said.

The district attorney's office stated in documents yesterday that there was not enough evidence that the 60-year-old musician threatened Nathan Marlowe and his wife, Cynthia Manzo, at The Grove mall last December. Simmons' lawyer, Barry Mallen, called the decision "completely expected".

Mr Marlowe told police that Simmons choked the couple and took their video camera after they started filming the star.

Simmons told police that Mr Marlowe shoved the camera in his face and he feared for his family's safety.
