No Macedonian in first grade.

The Albanian parties in Macedonia united in the reactions against the introduction of the Macedonian language in the first grade. Deputy PM Musa Xhaferi reiterated the stance to OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaeck, saying that "BDI is against such plans." Xhaferi stated that the integrated education in the presented version is unacceptable for Albanians.

'This document is not in accordance to the Ohrid Agreement and is unacceptable for Albanian parent, teachers and students who continue reacting," said Xhaferi.

The mayors of municipalities with majority of Albanian population opposed the Macedonian language to be studied from the first grade.

"We are all against this forced strategy, but not against the integration," said mayor of the Municipality of Cair, Izet Mexhiti. Rufi Osmani's National Democratic Rebirth party is against this too.
