Nissan Motor Company (Nissan) (NASDAQ: NSANY) (TYO: 7201), a Japan-based automaker, is planning to launch its Nissan GT-R high-end roadster in China during 2009.

The vehicle is to be sold through the network of its joint venture Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company.

According to Ren Yong, vice general manager of Dongfeng Nissan, 'the Sino-Japanese venture has become a pillar research and development bases of Nissan Motor around the world, and has incorporated into the R & D system of Nissan series of models.'
