Nike unveils the app-assisted Adapt BB !-- -- Luisa Morales ( - January 16, 2019 - 10:08am MANILA, Philippines Move over Marty McFly, because the future of power lacinghas arrived.

In their journey towards game-changing innovations in the world of sneakers, Nike has unvieled their most advancedperformance shoeyet. The sneaker world buzzed as Nike officially introducedthe Adapt BBthe company's latest self lacing, bluetooth enabled basketball shoes.

Aiming to create a "truly custom fit" for every basketball player, the Adapt BB features an advanced power lacing system combined with a mobile app and continuously updated firmware. In a sport like basketball, the needs of a player's foot constantly changes throughout the course of the game.

With the Adapt BB, adjusting the fit to a player's needs will be a breeze. Using theNike Adapt app, athletes can tighten and loosen their laces with a few taps on their smartphones.

The fit can also be changed manually by touching the shoe itself. Players can also customize the shoe's LED colors to their liking.

In a coming feature, ballers can also preset different fit settingsfor different situations in the game (e.g.

warmups, sitting on the bench, playing on the court). "This, finally, is the precise performance fit our athletes have long demanded exactly when they need it, with the push of a button or a tap on a phone" Nike said.

The sports giant also plans to bring the Adapt tecnologyfor sports other than basketball in future. Nike's Adapt BBs are set to arrive in the market this February.
