Nigeria wins U-17 World Cup.

Abu Dhabi, Nov. 9. (BNA) -- Nigeria beat title holders Mexico 3-0 in the Under-17 World Cup final yesterday to win the tournament for a record fourth time.

Nigeria went ahead in the ninth minute through Erick Aguirre's own goal before Kelechi Iheanacho doubled the lead in the 56th. Nigeria captain Musa Muhammed scored from a free-kick in the 81st minute to complete the victory.

Earlier, Sweden clinched third place after beating Argentina 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick by Valmir Berisha. Carlos Strandberg also scored for Sweden, while Lucio Campagnucci found the net for Argentina.

Nigeria also won the FIFA Fair Play Award while Kelechi Iheanacho won the Golden Ball (for the Best Player) and the Silver Boot for emerging the second highest goal scorer with six goals behind Bolden Berisha of Sweden, who won the Golden Boot with seven goals.

Dele Alampasu won the Golden Glove for having emerged as the best goal keeper in the tournament.
