Nigeria : PLATEAU GOVERNMENT awards N30bn contract to construct 3000 houses.

The Plateau Government has awarded contract to construct 3,000 houses in Mararaba Jama a axis of Jos.

The houses were to actualise the Greater Jos Master Plan , said, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Mr Solomon Maren, who was speaking while presenting the title documents to ABC Shelters Nig. Limited the construction firm for the project. The project would cost around N30 billion.

According to Maren, the houses for the high, middle and low income earners, would generate nearly 7,000 jobs for youths. He added, One of our major reasons of going into this heavy project is basically to actualise the Greater Jos Master Plan.

We want to give the city of Jos a good look in all its ramifications. Governor Jonah Jang is poised to give the people of Plateau the best form of leadership.

Jang has promised the people of Plateau that before the end of his administration in 2015, all sectors of the economy would witness drastic transformation, he stated.

Upon completion, the houses would be named as Jos Garden City .
