NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 17, 2003
Jive recording artist Nick Cannon is releasing the first single off his upcoming self-titled debut album.
"Your Pops Don't Like Me" was produced by Caveman & Scorpio. The video was directed by Jessie Terrero and it's currently on Nickelodeon. The album will be released on March 4, 2003.
Nick Cannon started his career as a comedian and as a teenager, he shared the stage at comedy clubs with the likes of Chris Tucker, Damon Wayans and Chris Rock. His big break came when he secured a spot for himself on the popular kids' channel Nickelodeon. The energy and ideas that Nick brought to the channel gained him the title of youngest producer in TV history. Today, Nick is the creator and star of the Nick Cannon Show, one of the highest rated shows on the channel.
Cannon's TV success has recently catapulted him to the big screen. He's the star of Twentieth Century Fox 's hit movie Drumline. The movie opened in December and it's been one of the most successful releases of this past Holiday season.
Nick Cannon was recently seen on MTV's TRL, the Billboard Music Awards, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, BET's "106 & Park," and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
