Nhs calderdale & nhsgreater huddersfield ccgs and north kirklees ccgs are procuring a community vasectomy service for the population of the calderdale and kirklees using the any qualified provider (aqp) route. the aim is to provide a high quality community vasectomy service. this will ensure patients have choice and ease of access. in securing services from any qualified providers (aqp), the ccgs require assurance of competence, quality and safety standards. any provider will be eligible to apply for this aqp subject to demonstrating compliance and competency against the specified criteria outlined in the service specification. aims and objectives of service: the aim of the service is to allow patients to have a vasectomy under local anaesthetic with the choice of having their counselling and procedure undertaken within a local primary or community care setting at a time convenient to them. the objectives of the service
