Newspaper Review: Israels Shutdown of Hebron Radio Station Focus of Dailies.
RAMALLAH, November 22, 2015 (WAFA) The three Palestinian Arabic dailies focused on Sunday on the Israeli militarys closure of a local radio station in Hebron on Saturday.
The dailies said that the Israeli army conducted arrests in Hebron on Saturday and closed local al-Khalil radio station.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said in its main headline that Israel recently intensified its military presence across the West Bank, especially in Hebron.
The three dailies also reported that four Israeli settlers were injured in a stabbing attack in Kiryat Gat, in southern Israel, on Saturday.
Al-Ayyam said the Israeli military claimed it had thwarted a stabbing attack outside the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
It said dozens of Palestinians rallied in Jerusalems Old City on Saturday, demanding Israel to release the bodies of Palestinians who were shot dead by Israeli security sources during the recent wave of escalation.
Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida said an Israeli man was among those who were killed in an attack on a hotel in Mali, in West Africa, on Friday.
Al-Quds and al-Ayyam said security forces went on a high alert in Brussels in anticipation of attacks similar to those which took place in Paris about a week ago.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said American Anthropological Association voted on Friday on adopting a motion to boycott Israeli academic institutions.
Al-Quds and al-Hayat al-Jadida said US Secretary of State John Kerry is expected to arrive in Israel and Palestine on Sunday to discuss ways to alleviate the current security escalation.
