The UALR coaches added heralded Texas prep all-star swingman Courtney Jackson in the early period. Shields figures Jackson will help both on the inside and be able to step out and shoot. In the spring recruiting period, UALR may have uncovered a gem in 6-1 guard Curtis Jackson out of Philadelphia. The Trojans also brought in more inside beef with 6-8 forward Wayne Burton from New Orleans via Western Texas College and guard Lionel Foster from Houston Alief Hastings High School.

UALR will have to wait a year to get transfer Solomon Bozeman from Magnolia eligible. He's the son of former Little Rock Parkview and Henderson State sharp-shooter Eric Bozeman and spent a season at South Florida.
