A selection of offences from the magistrates' ' courts Jason Tindall, 43 of Springwood Hall Road, Oldham. Pleaded guilty to damaging a ticket machine, valued PS180, belonging to Nexus on March 4. Absolute discharge and ordered to pay PS100 compensation. Gary Bone, 18, of Barrowdale, Walker, Newcastle. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on Kennington Grove on September 19. Fined PS70 with PS15 victim surcharge. Mohammed Ahmed, 39, of Greenlee Drive, Haydon Grange, Newcastle. Pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance on Greenlee Drive on January 8. Fined PS400, with PS85 costs and PS40 victim surcharge. Also given six penalty points.

Katrina Bensley, 28, of Eldon Street, Darlington. Pleaded guilty to stealing foodstuffs, valued PS8, belonging to Marks & Spencer on February 8. Discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to pay PS30 costs and PS15 victim surcharge.

William Fletcher, 29, of Sheepwalk, Peterborough. Found guilty in absence of being drunk and disorderly in Legends nightclub on February 8. Fined PS400, with PS85 costs and PS40 victim surcharge.

Ryan Knox, 19, of Rosalind Street, Ashington. Pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident and driving without due care and attention on City Road on December 27. Fined PS360, with 85 costs and PS22 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 30 days.

Laura Logan, 19, of Lupin Close, Chapel House, Newcastle. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on City Road on February 7. Discharged absolutely and ordered to pay PS30 costs. John McGarvie, 41, of Bilbrough Gardens, Benwell, Newcastle. Pleaded guilty to stealing aftershave valued PS11.92 from Wilkinsons on February 8. Discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to pay PS50 costs and PS15 victim surcharge. Harry Nicholson, 59, of Craster Square, Gosforth. Pleaded guilty to stealing perfume, valued PS35.10, from Debenhams on February 8. Discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to pay PS15 victim surcharge. Veronica Forrest, 53, of High Street, Prestonpans, East Lothian. Found guilty in absence of dropping litter in Newcastle's Central Station on October 4. Fined PS75, with PS20 costs and PS20 victim surcharge.
